Akane Osaki cherishes the moments when she watches her father, Tooru, perform rakugo—a captivating form of traditional Japanese storytelling. Tooru aspires to attain the prestigious title of shinuchi, the pinnacle of rakugo mastery. Yet, after his pivotal promotion examination, he faces a baffling expulsion from his rakugo institution.
